The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has closed its civil fraud lawsuit against Nader Al-Naji, founder of BitClout and DeSo, barring any future revival of charges. The dismissal extends to Al-Naji's family and associated entities, including the DeSo Foundation.

Regulators cited reevaluated evidence and litigation priorities as key factors. "After thorough review, the commission determined insufficient grounds to proceed," the SEC stated. The decision reflects strategic closure rather than a retraction of initial allegations.

Al-Naji remains a watched figure in decentralized social media development. The resolution removes legal uncertainty surrounding one of crypto's more controversial entrepreneur.
